Judy and Me is a delightful production of music, words and dance outlining the the life of Judy Garland. French duo Isabelle Georges, for whom Garland was and is an inspiration, and Frederick Steenbrink perform with style, wit and poignancy the songs that made Garland a star of her times. Isabelle is not a Garland impersonator. She has a beautiful and strong voice of her own. Accompanied by Frederick at the piano, she performs a whole host of songs including ‘The Trolley Song’, ‘My Funny Valentine’, ‘That’s Entertainment’. Each phase of Garland’s life is featured in the show, from the optimism of her early years to the sadness of her final years. The finale is moving but an encore (non Garland!) does raise the spirits. Judy and Me is well crafted and enjoyable entertainment sustained from start to finish. ****
