The Saturday night audience waited patiently for the ex-gangster, ex bouncer, Darren to start his show. I admit to feeling slightly intimidated. We needn’t have worried because the first two minutes into his set Darren puts us at our ease with his cheerful banter and smooth delivery. He describes his time in a teen gang and about the gang getting into music production; they decide they need a bit of image enhancement and hilariously try to organise some intimidating t-shirts. We learn some street terms, which the mostly younger audience understood, but for which I needed a translator!

From his time as an experienced door security operative, Darren offers us some useful tips for purchasing a bullet proof jacket.
This is, at times, an emotional show, but Darren makes sure we continue to laugh at all times. He covers a wide variety of topics from house shares, Hollywood type-casting to power ranger hierarchy!
Smooth, topical and funny. Not to be missed.
