Justin Moorhouse is your archetypal traditional mass appeal stand up. He is northern, he’s loud, and he’s naturally, effortlessly funny. What’s not to like?

Within the first few minutes of his hour long stand up, at the Cabaret Bar, he has the audience on side with laugh out loud opening one liners.

There is a loose theme to tonight’s performance. We are all performers. In whatever line of work you may be in. It is a performance. He demonstrates this by picking out some audience members with quite far ranging professions. No one is safe!

The jovial tone masks a few more serious issues which are touched upon from his challenges with his grown up children to the death of a close friend. Oh and his parents and grandparents were apparently a bit traditional in their thinking and accepting on a few key issues that are quite the hot topics in today’s society.

Justin is a natural performer and his engaging personality enables him to thrive in many genres. He has many acting credits, memorably in Phoenix Nights. He is a radio DJ as well as presenting his own series of podcasts. And, of course, he is quite a master of stand up.

This hour went by way too quickly.
