I saw Jamie D’Sousa during his first Edinburgh run in 2022 and thought that he had a lot of potential so was keen to see how he had progressed.

D’Sousa is from Staines, of Swiss and Indian heritage, a topic that crops up from time to time during his set, and he also has a job. He is a data analyst with a large supermarket, so given this he loves analysing parts of his show as well, with word clouds, graphs, projections, spreadsheets and so on flashing onto the screen a regular occurrence.

D’Sousa leads us through some of his early life, his living arrangements, two of his friend’s wedding and also expounds with a series of tips as to get away with doing very little at work. Foray into other topics include sex dice, his landlords promiscuity, obviously we have on screen analysis, eating disorder, board games South Asian restaurants and Thorpe Park getting the D’Sousa treatment.

Jamie is an engaging comedian, who writes and delivers a very funny hour, for me slightly tech heavy, however the crowd I was part of were lapping it up, and guffaws of laughter where very much the order of the day.
