Skank Sinatra - 4**** - One4Review

Skank Sinatra is a high-octane, razor-sharp drag cabaret that fuses witty wordplay with saucy storytelling and unapologetic dirty jokes. She whisks you into a smoky world of smooth jazz and Sinatra classics — though this diva is anything but classy. True to her name, she’s every inch a skank, and the audience loves it.
Sinatra’s hits get a cheeky personal makeover. “Come Fly With Me,” originally a jet-age ode to Peru and Bombay, transforms into a riotous tour of South Africa and Australia, where she spent part of her youth. The accents, anecdotes, and playful twists keep the audience grinning from start to finish.
She’s a bona fide international jet-setter. In America, she once stepped in for a Vegas act that never showed — armed only with an Elvis wig. And Berlin? Well, that trip “certainly went with a bang.” These outrageous tales are seamlessly woven into the show, adding sparkle, scandal, and full-on cabaret charm.
Midway through, the night hits a dramatic high when the venue “loses power.” She dashes offstage to heroically (and improbably) fix it, returning moments later in a dazzling white gown. The costume change sets up the final set of powerful numbers, her glamour perfectly matching the drama and energy of the music.
There’s no denying this diva’s vocal chops. She belts out Sinatra classics with flair — and plenty of creative license — as in her wickedly risqué rendition of “I Only Want To Be With You.” Her quick wit and banter keep the audience fully engaged, laughing, and often gasping at her audacity.
After heartfelt thanks, she delivers a cheeky “spontaneous” encore: a rehearsed but flawlessly timed rendition of That’s Life. It’s the perfect finale to a night of laughter, glitter, jazz, and deliciously decadent cabaret.
