Fabled is certainly an acquired taste. A humour that although at times makes you come close to a laugh for me failed to hit the spot. Attempts at being funny partially ruin the show but there are some redeeming qualities. Primarily the respect or admiration of the actors to fully Improvise an hour long show to a working plot. This also causes issues with multiple threads starting at once and not being thought out or completed fully, yet this could have been worse and other improvised shows have done a lot worse than them at making a clear plot. At points sad and at others a pleasant smile may take hold but as a whole I found it rather plain You cannot however fault the actors, they themselves were better than expected and made the show significantly improved the show.
If you want to watch this show for nothing but the fantasy aspects you may enjoy it. But it’s not a very enjoyable show if you’re just there for something to do. I wouldn’t however say this is a complete no go, I believe it would be enjoyable if I was potentially more interested in the fantasy aspect or if I was there on a day with a different prompt for the improvisation. Far from perfect but not the worst I’ve seen by a long shot.
