Alana Jackson: Last Orders 5***** - One4Review

Alana Jackson: Last Orders 5*****

| On 04, Aug 2025

The lovely Alana Jackson is a Glasgow born comedian who now lives in London, she used to work in a bar but her talent definitely belongs on stage. She begins the show and discusses the meaning of ‘Sober Curious’, as she talks us through it, her facial expressions are hilarious, adding to the funny story already in progress. She discusses working in a bar and how having a boss called ‘Angela’ can cause concerning confusion!

One of Alana’s many talents is her ability to change her accent, she uses this throughout the show. The audience are instantly drawn to her plight as she discusses the pitfalls of taking your Irish friend to an escape room. She then discusses the curious things people do when drunk before moving on to highlight the anxious experience she had when going to the bingo in Glasgow. Alana continues the hilarity and shares her thoughts and experiences of flat sharing.

Alana previously attended drama class for 3 years and doesn’t hesitate to put her training to good use, her take on some of the techniques learned adds to the laughter. She discusses Mel Robbins ‘Let them, Let me’ theory and highlights some questionable yet funny scenarios where the theory perhaps doesn’t quite work. She jumps back to her time working in a bar in Glasgow near to a crematorium and the shenanigans of family members when they attended the bar after a funeral, it’s not quite what you would expect!

After an extremely funny and unexpected dance routine, Alana brings the show to a close and introduces us to her mystery guest and again showcases her talent and ability to change characters and voice.

This show was a hoot from start to finish; the sell-out audience were kept laughing all the way through. I’m not sure if many tourists would fully understand the hilarity behind some of the Glasgow scenarios but if your Scottish you will find it exceptionally funny. Well worth seeing!
