Kurt Sterling — 1 Big Aussie Showcase — 4****

| On 07, Aug 2026

Kurt Sterling comperes an Aussie extravaganza of talent from Down Under. Not just a line up of antipodean comedy, but I also encountered cabaret and circus. In fact, every day will be different.

Mr Sterling does an awesome job warming up the crowd, it’s clear he’s been working his socks off on the circuit, his comedic style has grown, and this already very funny guy has developed a tight set and a stage presence, and he confidently hosts this very well supported gig. Great crowd work mixed with well-timed anecdotes sets the scene for a rather enjoyable show. He has a wonderful energy and soon his audience are all on board soaking up his fast-paced banter.

First up to entertain is Jeremy Dooley, a wise cracker whose observational style hits the spot. He’s incredibly likeable and seeing this sample of his work has encouraged me to get tickets for his solo show, Daddy Cool. The funnies keep on coming non-stop throughout combined with terrific subject matter and great delivery.

Krystal Amber entertains us with what I can only describe as acrobatic contortionism, which was amazing giving the size of the stage she had to perform on. A very, very talented and bendy young woman. The positions and flexibility she possesses is genuinely eye-watering.

Next on the bill, Zach Riley, shows us what he’s made of with yet another snippet of his solo show, Good Pill Hunting. Sharp and witty stories surrounding friendships, spirituality and his job history give us an insight to his much longer set.

Rounding off, Claire Million brought us some cabaret in the form of how to show off with a hula hoop. With a banging backing track, Ms Million had us in awe with her rhythmic trickery.

All in all, a very enjoyable and entertaining show, compered extremely well by Kurt Sterling, definitely worth seeing. Tickets can be bought in advance or pay what you want on exit.
