Jonathan Rudge - Stay at home son - 4**** - One4Review

Working in TV for 19 years has given Jonathan Rudge a bucket load of material to use in his one-man-show, “Stay at home son”. However due to having signed an NDA, there’s much he can’t discuss.
They say that “Breaking up is hard to do” and in Mr Rudges case this is definitely the case as he has recently had to move back home to stay with his dad, who is now his landlord/flatmate. It brings a whole new dimension to his life with hilarious consequences. Dating has become a challenge as his dad keeps a watchful eye on proceedings, even a simple night out becomes a chore if he’s not back home before a certain time.
Jonathan has produced a very sharp and witty set, pulling on the heart strings a little by delving into his family life and recent break up. Starting over again in your 40’s is a bit of a wake up call. His 3 sisters constant interference in his life is comedy gold.
His show is very relatable and he’s a very likeable chap with a lovely on-stage presence. A very entertaining debut from this very funny Londoner.
