Robin Grainger – Lemonade 5***** - One4Review

Robin Grainger – Lemonade 5*****

| On 19, Aug 2026

There is a saying that if life gives you lemons, then make lemonade. Robin Grainger has had quite a few donations of citrus fruit over the years but given plenty of comedic skill, hard work and his likeable personality he has made enough lemonade to rival Schweppes.
Hitting the headlines with his audient a few years ago helped raise his profile. He has toured regularly, had sell-out shows, been nominated for awards and it is no more than he deserves,
Grainger has boundless energy, he is never still on stage as he delivers his relatable stories, his writing style is excellent, full on laugh-out-loud gags and stories and clever tweaks to situations keeps the full house on a wet night forgetting their woes.
The material includes growing up in Northeast Scotland, his early health issues, family, losses, both of early pets and his father, a breakup, but more whimsical routines about robot vacuum cleaner, curling, and his beloved dog Waffle, a French Bulldog who only speaks French, would have had people ROFL if it hadn’t been so wet from the rain.
The closing story, a early gig he did as support to the late great Paul Sneddon, aka Vladimir McTavish was a nice tribute and an insight to the influence he had on Grainger’s career. Vlad would have been proud of you Robin.
