Bron Lewis — Chaos 4**** - One4Review

Bron Lewis — Chaos 4****

| On 21, Aug 2026

Australian comedian Bron Lewis is packing them in Cabaret Bar at the Pleasance for the final night of her sold-out run.

Family dynamics are at the heart of the show. The sheer chaos of family life is mined for some seriously funny observations. The concealed joy of getting away from her three daughters, her husband’s rapidly declining dress sense while working from home, the mother-in-law strategically moving in, a house in total uproar and the stress of interactions with teachers all get their moment. However, the Halloween segment is an absolute barn-door smasher.

Lewis is street-smart and devastatingly quick, with honesty that life is messy, exhausting and ridiculous, which is exactly where Lewis finds the laughs.

And then, 47 minutes into the show, the fire alarm goes off, and the show has to end. It was an unfortunate way to finish a strong Fringe run, but somehow it felt entirely appropriate, – an unexpected drop-the-mic moment that left them wanting more.

But credit to Lewis: even with the most literal possible ending to Chaos, this is a sharp show full of class and energy, a real surf-and-mirth gem from a comedian who is soaring over daily problems and the competition.

Now, far be it from this reviewer to start conspiracy theories, but maybe, just maybe, one of the family unit and one member backstage decided they’d had enough of the ribbing? We may never know.
