Freak show is being created by the same team as Forest boy yet they are quite complementary as completely different pieces of music theatre.

Set in a Victorian sideshow we see the public performances of the so-called freaks and then half-way through we are treated to a ‘Noises-off’ exploration of what is actually going on in their lives and thoughts.

The cast are excellent and it is a lovely piece of work with the professional direction and production values we come to expect from the RCS. The music is both beautiful and catchy and draws you in with its mesmerising melodies, played by the nicely-balanced live orchestra.
