It can sometimes be very difficult to keep an audience engrossed in a solo show with few props, but this performance is an outstanding piece of work from start to finish that grips the audience and puts them through an emotional rollercoaster.

Just before the show starts, there are visual warnings that make you laugh!

Jolie Klein is an actress; she bursts on to the stage and starts dancing to a fantastic collaboration of songs. She is teaching a class about her forth coming stage show based loosely on The Wizard of Oz, but she soon slips into her own world of despair. Since the age of twelve she has been seeing a therapist who she has frequent conversations with throughout the show. She also has an obsession for Chris Evans, (Captain America Actor) which is relieved in her own pleasurable way, eat your heart out Meg Ryan!!

Klein tries to stay positive but is in constant torment within herself. She discloses an awful event from her past and you can almost feel the pain and anguish as she literally cries her heart out. Moments of reflection throughout the show have the audience firmly gripped in the hope she gets through the torment. Just as you think you couldn’t get anymore attracted to her character; she sings a wonderful version of a very well-known Wizard of Oz song.

It comes to the big day and her stage show is ready but due to an unfortunate but funny incident, she requires an audience member to come up and help finish it for her.

There is so much to compliment this show on, an absolute professional performance from start to finish with hilarity, strong emotions throughout and a character you just want to hug. This is an absolute must see!
