Alfie Dundas does not hold back on the level of just how privileged his upper class background is with his rich (and we’re talking very rich), titled parents. Eton educated Alfie keeps reminding the audience that this hour of comedy could well be quite unrelatable. Yet somehow, with his self deprecating style of delivery, he makes it easy to get on board with this very likeable young man.

There is a reference early on in the show to a hugely traumatic childhood experience and the death of his younger brother. This is to be revisited at the end of the show.

A brilliantly written hour of very funny storytelling. Alfie is an absolute natural and so at ease on stage, captivating the audience from the very beginning. This is Alfie’s Fringe show debut, and the run is selling out fast due to his Instagram profile boasting 241,000 followers.

London based Alfie tells us about his, admittedly quite unrelatable, life of growing up with rather high achieving contemporaries and attending institutions that have churned out a number of prime ministers. His parents have friends in high places which was much evident at his younger brother’s funeral.

There is much to admire in Alfie’s ease of storytelling. He keeps reminding the audience to relax when he touches on sensitive subjects such as race and religion and cleverly manages never to offend.

A very talented performer. Catch him while you can.
