Bilal Zafar wants to be a TV presenter, or a game show host, or more famous than he currently is at least, and in his show “Rubicon” I can see no reason why this shouldn’t happen for this very talented and likeable comedian. He has a lovely way with his audience, and his style is very smooth indeed.

He’s already made several on screen cameos which he shares with us, hilariously, in a very serious, deadpan kinda way. He finds humour in everyday occurrences, whether it’s on shopping trips, drinking mocktails or the love of his life, cricket. It’s a very cleverly written set, with a nice flow and well delivered.

The show is a mash up of storytelling, well placed gags thrown in and plenty of laughs, his game show host segment in particular is very funny. This is his 6th Fringe outing and this well crafted show was enjoyed by everyone in the audience. This show may well be about what success looks like, but how is it achieved these days when social media plays such a huge part of our lives.

I do hope there’s a game show producer out and about scouting for talent, I for one would love to be a contestant on The Bilal Zafar Show.
