Meg Millane- Bride to be 4**** - One4Review

Meg Millane returns to the fringe with her latest show, Bride to be. Her character is engaged to be married (Obviously), as Meg dissects the intricacies of the planning behind a wedding, and the different people involved, she adds her own humour to what is a stressful yet common life event.
The show gets off to a lively start with a track from the killers and don’t worry if you missed it the 1st time you will hear it again! After a quick Q&A with the audience about marital advice, she quickly changes into ‘Wifey’ and has the clothes to prove it. With more tracks from Jess Glyn and Madonna, the audience are suitably warmed up.
The maid of honour then makes an appearance, she has so much to organise, the responsibility turns her into a nervous wreck. The maid of honour’s main responsibility is to organise the Hen doo but giving the only lesbian in the room a straw featuring a male body part perhaps isn’t the best idea! She then discusses the stress that RSVP invites cause before breaking into a fantastic dance routine to the music of Abba.
Next up is the cake designer before jumping back to tell the story of when she got engaged which wasn’t really that romantic! She then turns to her aunt Lisa who is a professor of women studies who hilariously explains the ‘wandering womb’ theory. With more music from Justin Bieber and the Eurythmics, she slips into a dream the night before her wedding and her mind runs riot. When the big day comes, she gives her new husband something that will be with him for the rest of his life, romantic gesture? Not quite!
This is a very funny fast paced show full of energy, humour and unforgettable antics, never have I seen a wedding plan broken down in such a way. Laughs from start to finish with dancing and great background music to complement a wonderful performance.
