Keeley Hazell was probably most famous as a Page Three glamour model back in the day hence the show title, featuring also in a number of ‘Lad Mags’.
This is her story. Starting off with Keeley having to audition for a TV role that is herself, this engaging performer leads the audience through her life, from being born and bred on a working-class estate, learning the glamour days, a drug dealing ex-boyfriend, escaping to Los Angeles, hooking up with an actor for years, discovering him cheating, small roles in TV and movies, briefly returning to the UK.
This one-woman story is confidently performed by Hazell. The stage presence she brings to her performance and her engagement with the audience throughout is impressive, while relating her story warts and all.
There is plenty of light and shade in the writing, but while it isn’t really a comedy show, there are laughs, it is performed in such a way that this true life story is never as dark as might have been, and a sense of taking back control.
