Eric Rushton has been a comedian gathering traction over the last few years and playing to a near capacity house, is evident that he is going in the right direction. But is he ever going to achieve his ultimate goal?
The somewhat unusual stage prop of a dart board is largely ignored until near the end, but from his initial crowd work until the conclusion, Rushton is a compelling watch.
The main thrust of his performance is his family, one of eight kids, in unsuitable accommodation yet somehow his mum managed to correctly assess what presents he wanted and delivered them. But what about the dart board?
Rushton muses that he thinks the world of her, even if he hardly ever makes contact, barely texting every couple of weeks, but she is a heal hero.
Eric delivers an hour of material that is well crafted, he has good jokes, and has a personality that can’t be ignored, and is an accomplished storyteller too.
