Well, here’s a conundrum, Muslim girl from Kazakhstan, falls for Christian boy from Macedonia, and in “4 Better or 4 Worse”, real life couple, Aisha Amanduri and Vlad Illich, navigate the potholes on this road to love and maybe wedlock.
Each of them entertaining us to a section of their own brand of humour mostly about how they’ve arrived here as immigrants and managed to make their way in life to becoming British citizens. Taking the Life in the UK test is no laughing matter, especially when you have to study up on Henry VIII.
They both have a lovely chemistry when they are performing together, Vlad’s Balkan tales mix in beautifully with Aishas stories about growing up all over the world. Their childhood stories are very funny and although their lifestyles and cultures may have been very different, now living in London, they have come together to carry out their dreams as comedians and performers.
It’s a well thought out show that still needs a few tweaks here and there, the roast battle at the end needs some attention. I’m keen to see how this show develops and becomes a much stronger and tighter set.
