Will & Noah: Dinner Dinner Chicken Winner – 4****

| On 28, Aug 2026

I always like a themed sketch show as a little constraint can lead to a lot of inspiration in how you approach the subject and that’s certainly the case in Will & Noah: Dinner Dinner Chicken Winner a show all about winners and, by implication, losers.

Will BF (Bicknell-Found) and Noah Geelan bring a distinctly silly and anarchic take on a collection of skits about various successful (and not so successful people) from an award winning chef and his even-more award winning photographer to the under 13s player of the season to the valedictorian of a US high school.

The pair are very fun performers, easily inhabiting the larger than life personas of their characters and the writing ranges from good to brilliant (the opening sketch in particular was very Finnemore-esque which, for a Radio 4 sketch nerd like me, is about as high as the praise can get). There’s a blend of styles and it even integrates some multimedia nonsense with video skits on the TV and the odd sign-song.

Overall, the show feels very classic, perhaps a little too much at some points as some of the targets of humour, such as references to old music hall double acts (do you remember those? Because Gen Z doesn’t) and the Will Smith Oscar slap from 4 years ago, but it’s also a good kind of classic and there’s a certain freshness to some of the audience interaction and ideas that make me think that Will and Noah’s best is yet to come.
