Heading into the nether regions of Assembly Roxy, in a space that could have stood in for a dungeon, it becomes clear that we are at a book launch of Entendre Entendre: a burlesque/comedic performer and general smutty character.

Bryn has oodles of charisma and completely demolished the fourth wall throughout her hour. There was plenty of (obviously consensual) audience participation which is an integral part of the hour.
Entendre talks of her book, her loves, her sexuality, past relationships, broken hearts, the list goes on. All of this generally went down well with the enthusiastic and vocal crowd, as did her burlesque finale.

Now it is not unique to this venue, most have limitations, however, I felt that due to the lack of rake on the seats there was a fair amount of the show that must have been missed by all but the front row or two. Speaking as one sitting further back, it seems we may have lost a sizeable chunk of what was happening due to being unable to see what was going on.

There is definitely an audience for this type of show, and I am sure it will be a busy one. If it sounds like your thing, be sure to get there early and get a front row seat.
