Jehovah's witness for the prosecution 3.5*** - One4Review

This is a comedic storytelling show based on Chris’ own upbringing within Jehovahs Witness, having little access to things we take for granted, the church’s reaction to him being gay and his work as an A&E nurse. The show is really well done, not offensive at all. It is currently a work in process but already shaping up to be a really entertaining show.
Some of Chris’ storytelling about life as a Jehovahs Witness was new to me but he certainly keeps the comedy to making fun of himself and navigating the modern world once he left the church. Some of his naïve encounters were hilarious, believing anything he is told.
Chris discusses some situations he encounters as a nurse, which is where I resonated most being in healthcare myself. I found his stories working in a hospital relatable and found these the best part of the show, personally. Watching others in the audience, they too appeared to resonate with certain topics but not all. Chris does check at the beginning of the show what type of crowd he has which I think is important going forward.
The venue was quite intimate but enough room and not too crowded, although most of the seats were taken. It was certainly an entertaining show and look forward to future shows by him in the Fringe.
