You really have to fasten your seatbelt and get on board with the bonkers premise of this show! Katie Pritchard is Sir Elton Scone and he’s here with all his classic hits from Don’t Go Breaking My Tart to The circular Pie!

Despite all the accolades; the Grammys, the Oscars, the Brits, the Emmys but Sir Elton Scone doesn’t have a prime time cooking quiz show or the ultimate . . . a Juke Box musical! A Juke Box musical featuring all those cake themed hits is the dream for Sir Elton Scone.

I did warn you it was bonkers! Katie’s energy and enthusiasm drives the whole show and at break neck speed. It’s hard not to get on board with the silliness. As props are handed out and we are encouraged to form two competing teams and take part in a cooking themed quiz; the humour and energy is infectious. Even the mature American lady in the row in front, who seemed determined to remain slightly aloof, is singing along and clapping her wooden spoons to the fake tap dancing (!), two songs in!

I feel like this show could only exist at the Edinburgh Fringe. Katie Pritchard is an award winning singer, writer, comedian and above all, an entertainer. This show is hugely entertaining. Come to this show and you will be transported to the crazy and joyful world Katie Pritchard has dreamed up.
