Killian is a young Irish comedian who I have never seen before but I find Irish storytelling entertaining so was looking forward to this show. He certainly has the stamina to perform for a whole hour, who tries to keep the audience engaged throughout the show. The show is tame with no topics set to embarrass anyone or make anyone feel uncomfortable.

Killian has a bubbly, speeded up personality and is a likeable character. He makes good use of the stage, keeping people’s attention with his energetic pacing. He is happy to make fun of himself and his relationships, everyone loves an Irish mother tale!

Topics of his comedy were of his family, his relationship, crippling anxiety – especially flying! The crowd responded variably and Killian was aware of that, pointing it out himself and making fun of the fact. The show has some good punchlines and very funny topics, but the crowd was split. There is a little audience interaction, quite funny and Killian responded well to the unpredictable responses from the audience.

I’m not quite sure what was missing from the show, I felt time dragged on. The speed of the delivery made me think that I had missed something or question whether I was slow on the uptake. I enjoyed the show regardless; there is some funny content there. Killian has a lot of potential and some great material but something in this show does not seem to be working, for me anyway. He did get plenty of laughs during the show.
