Michael Shafar – Inapproptiate – 3.5***

| On 28, Aug 2026

Australian comedian Michael Shafar has plenty to say in his show, “Inappropriate”, with his keen wit and sharp-eyed observational style. He happily pokes fun at the everyday and has built up a very credible hour long show.

Whether it’s tackling personal health issues, he’s a cancer survivor, or discussing domestic family situations, he manages to build a lovely rapport with his audience and early on we know that we are heading for a good time. His comedy is very relatable, topical and fresh.

He’s on the verge of “edgy” a lot of the time but his humour has a very large dose of dark and shade, but it’s really well balanced. Each situation or viewpoint is well thought out and he’s clearly a very confident performer. A very personable and likeable comedian, he’s got a wicked side that comes through in just the right amount.

I like his outlook on life in general and his ability to find the funny side even when the chips are down. It’s an easy show to watch and be part of, in fact it would be rather “Inappropriate” if you didn’t pop along and see Michael’s show.
