*It is not usual for work in progress shows to get reviewed during the Fringe, however it is not often that there is a complete show, in essence this one is, to be of this standard. I have seen quite a few ‘ready’ show less polished this year and previously.

Nerine opens with a reworking of song Making Your Mind Up, tying in with the show title, before offering the busy room an alternative opening. We get to decide which we like as, crowd work, anecdotes of her family and early life, her mum’s rabbit collection and renamed cat, all generating laughs and delivered with excellent comic timing.

Two years ago, Ms Skinner did a show about The Funeral of Liz Truss, she does look quite a lot like her, but of course the brief stint as PM could have scuppered  her chances as a political comedian. Truss has gone. Or has she? Nerine has to bring her back occasionally and other politicians get a try-out, Trump, Boris, Rachel Reeves, and an uncanny brief appearance of Angela Rayner was spot on.

The mixture of crowd work, singing, stories of her indecisions and job choices gave a showcase of her entertainment skills and all too soon it was over, I am sure the crowd could have enjoyed yet more.

There is no decision needed in my opinion, go catch her while you can.
