Silky, birth name Paul White, was almost a fixture at the Fringe prior to the pandemic. I saw him for the first time in 2019 and wondered why I had waited so long. But after a 7 year wait he has returned and is as good as previously.

A decent sized afternoon crowd packed into Stand Two to see his latest offering and nobody could have left disappointed.

To say he is unassuming on stage is an understatement, the term self-deprecating could have been coined for him. But what he is, is a really funny and talented comedian, plenty of talent and a wicked sense of humour who has a fund of stories, laugh-out-loudly funny, with a few songs on his trusty guitar.

He feels he has imposter syndrome, questioning why a Sheffield pub has two pictures on their wall, Ross Noble and him. Why me? he muses. He will explain.

His mischief-making involving dropping ‘facts’ into conversations that are anything but, his comedy course with 1700 graduates are other stopping off points within his hour, an hour that was all too short.

If you have seen him before, well this latest offering ie well worth a vist. If you haven’t go see him anyway. It’s an afternoon hour well spent.
