Adam B Magic : Welcome to My Reality : 4**** - One4Review
one4review | On 03, Sep 2026
Mr B, a resplendent gentleman with facial hair and a tweed suit, comes over like an otherworldly Edwardian H.G. Wells, inviting us into his den of delights.
Starting off with classic sleight of hand coin tricks, clever card tricks, and rope-and-handkerchief knotted mastery, they all bamboozle and entertains in equal measure.
But then he turns it up to 11, proving that this show is a class above the usual vaudeville tomfoolery, that is, quite frankly, just magic. The thread throughout is a beautifully well-played callback to his ADHD diagnosis, or, as he calls it, being “mentally fizzy”. The Bubble Fairies are a triumph, with hole(y) cards used to show how he slays his mental health demons. It hits all the right spots and engages the audience, young and old.
Like all good magicians, he saves the best until last. The devilish double-twist Rubik’s Cube deception is worthy of the greats.
Mr B is an engaging guide, performing with a mesmeric ingenuity that has you wondering whether some of this stuff might actually be possible.
It’s a fantastical gold standard hour, full of genuine bewilderment, performed by someone who clearly loves his art. Another PBH Free Fringe find well worth checking out.
