Are you good at spotting a liar? Would you be a good detective? Well, here’s your chance to play sleuth in the aptly title Fringe show, “2 Truths,1 Liar”.
Steffan Alun does a sterling job hosting this trial by audience witch-hunt. 3 different comedians share a little bit of their own material with us, before plying us with a statement which we have to vote on at the end of the show. It’s very cleverly constructed and it’s a great opportunity to see some comedians you may not have heard of before. And it’s a different line-up every day.
Bennett Arron, Katie Mitchell and Carwyn Blaney embrace the format, entertain us with some stand up and try to fox us with their extraordinary claims.
We are allowed to quiz each of them, probing them for more details, hoping that one of them will make a slip up. I turned out to be hopeless and didn’t manage to spot the liar. In fact the majority of the audience filed to find the fake!
It’s a lot of fun with plenty of laughs, and tons of audience participation, a nice show to add to your Fringe diary.
