Tom Stade – Rules – 5*****

| On 10, Aug 2026

In a packed Stand 1, with literally standing room only, Tom Stade delivers one hell of a show, in which he absolutely “Rules” the stage. From the very start this engaging Canadian kicks off with outstanding crowd work that he cleverly returns to throughout the show.

Well crafted across a very broad age demographic, Tom has something for everyone, from the Gen Z’s and millennials to us older folks in the audience. He shoots from the hip and tells it like it is comparing things like being schooled by your kids in his days and now as a parent.

He’s a natural born story teller, and he has fantastic rapport with us. I loved it and so did the punters. Every punchline is effortless, his timing is on point and his material is brilliantly outrageous at times. He consistently hits the mark and has the measure of the audience and this hilarious set really is a master class in stand up and really deserves a much bigger venue.

Tom has been a constant presence at the Fringe for 20 years, and this is the first time I’ve seen him perform and let me tell you it definitely won’t be my last. Great atmosphere, created by an outstanding comedian, go and see “Rules” if you want a right good night out.
