Jamie Wolf - Psycho 3.5*** - One4Review

I’m sure we’ve all felt a bit down in the dumps, maybe a bit depressed, but Jamie Wolf regales his own story with his show Psycho, and it will make you think twice about seeking medical help, certainly if you live in the good old U.S of A!
Mr Wolf has a very laid back style that occasionally becomes quite psychotic, mad-cap if you will, and delves deep into his own persona, opening up to us on a variety of his own set of particular issues.
What he experiences is quite incredible, the thing that movies are made about, how if you protest too much, people will believe that you may actually be in need of psychiatric help.
It’s a very well written and well executed piece of work, and it’s not what I was expecting. He turns grief, loss and personal trauma into a very funny and real life sharing experience. At times tugging at the heart strings that suddenly flips into laugh out loud comedy.
Being able to laugh when you’re at a low point in your life can be the hardest thing, turning tragedy into a performance piece is quite a skill.
A very enjoyable and entertaining show, well worth seeing.
