This show is basically one very enthusiastic and entertaining woman talking about Wikipedia for an hour, which sounds much less entertaining than it was.

I learned a surprising amount about how Wikipedia works, including who can update pages and the slightly bonkers amount of time and effort some people put into editing it. There were some really funny examples of Wikipedia pages, such as lists of White House pets, and disputes between editors. My fourteen-year-old daughter and I came away knowing quite a few completely useless but entertaining facts.

The show is well put together and moves along nicely. The performer clearly knows and loves her subject and manages to make something that could potentially be quite dry genuinely funny in places.

If you already love Wikipedia and enjoy spending hours falling down Wikipedia rabbit holes or are the sort of person who enjoys random facts, you’ll probably absolutely love this. If you’re not particularly interested in Wikipedia, I’m not sure there’s enough here to completely win you over.

I enjoyed it though. Interesting, funny and a bit different, and I know far more about the strange world of Wikipedia editors than I did an hour earlier. Suitable for kids ages twelve and over.
