The Rise of The Eagles - 4**** - One4Review

The Rise of The Eagles – 4****

| On 21, Aug 2025

From the fiery opening of “James Dean,” it’s clear this is no ordinary covers show. The sound is immaculate, the playing razor-sharp, and the harmonies bright in a room that feels built for this kind of music. Alex Beharrell acts as our genial guide, the taskmaster steering the evening with an easy wit. Between songs he feeds the crowd with anecdotes and titbits — the story of how members first met as part of Linda Ronstadt’s backing band, the early West Coast days when country and rock first began to merger It’s detail that makes the music breathe rather than weigh it down.
The setlist is, frankly, a killer run. “Take It Easy” rolls in, “Already Gone” crackles with 70’s swagger, and “Lyin’ Eyes” is delivered with just the right bittersweet touch. “One of These Nights” is sultry and spacious, while “Seven Bridges Road” gives a showcase for those unmistakable harmonies that defined the band. “Life in the Fast Lane” bristles with energy, all snarling guitars and galloping drums, and of course there’s the towering epic of “Hotel California,” delivered with the drama and precision it demands.
But the real heart of the night is “Desperado.” Sounding utterly impeccable, it’s a moment that belongs to Sarah Lianne, whose vocal captures both the vulnerability and the grandeur of the song. The Linda Ronstadt connection makes it all the more poignant, and when the final note hangs in the air, the silence in the room before the applause speaks volumes.
This is a tight, well-honed 50 mins with no fat, a show that knows exactly what it wants to do and nails it. It feels almost like a sampler of what could easily be expanded into a full-length concert — and you leave wanting to see that extended version, to watch this band stretch their wings and soar through the deeper cuts.
Musically, this is probably the premiere Eagles act on the circuit right now, delivered with precision, passion, and a real respect for the craft and remind you why the band mattered, and why those songs still land with such force today.
