A group of talented performers take the audience through 100 years of popular hits from some well-known musicals. The show starts from the 1930’s right up until the present day, showcasing familiar hits from popular musicals during that decade. From start to finish, the performers deliver a high standard of harmonious synchronisation which, as an audience member, is such an enjoyable experience.

The choir is made up of 39 (if I counted correctly) people, both male and female of all ages. There are two choir masters who lead the choir into the songs and ensures they maintain their pitch. This is done so effortlessly and the choir clearly know their part in each performance. No one is heard more than others and no matter where you are seated in the audience, you can see and hear the performance clearly.

This 45-minute set is completely a cappella, so no instruments were used and the way the choir use their voices to provide a backing beat to each song is truly impressive. The basic staging becomes irrelevant as the audience is immersed into each performance by the vocal talents of the choir alone. There were a few numbers I was not familiar with however the audience I was part of certainly knew them; you cannot help but find yourself bopping along.

This is certainly a performance for all musical lovers. There is an impressive visual aid at the end which I will leave as a surprise for people to go and see. I would highly recommend this show for some up lifting, well delivered and enjoyable renditions of hits of 100 years of musicals.
