I have seen Alison Spittle a couple of times live, and obviously a few times on TV, and have always enjoyed what I have seen, so along with may others packed in to see her latest offering. There was a moment when she hit the stage I thought who is this? There had been a dramatic weight loss, and this was mostly what was talked about.

Alison talks of her love of darts, Shrek, she refers to herself as hetrshreksual, Pointless TV quiz and losing weight, she quips “as much as an XL bully.”

A serious health scare hospitalised her and gave her impetus to start shedding the pounds in spite of well-meaning friends sending her chocolates.

She loved being fat she states, but that brought issues too, abuse, and the limitations her size brought when skiing or enjoying to the full, Thorpe Park rides are examples she relates.

This is not a poor me show. She has a multitude of well crafted material with laughs a plenty. AS a uber Pointless fan her appearance in the TV quiz was one of her greatest achievements, and it was topped off with… I’ll let her tell you.

There may be a scaled down version of her on stage, but what has not diminished is her likability or her comedic talent in anyway.
