Jo Caulfield - Bad Mood Rising 4.5 **** - One4Review

Jo Caulfield – Bad Mood Rising 4.5 ****

| On 08, Aug 2025

Another of the Fringe artists who has a loyal following at the Fringe is Edinburgh based Jo Caulfield. She has been a Fringe institution for more years than most and can always be guaranteed to deliver an hour of quality material, often slightly ascorbic but never short of laughs as well.

Ms Caulfield is an excellent Host of comedy nights too, so is well versed in crowd work, and a fine demonstration of this was delivered prior to the meat of the performance.

No theme as usual, Jo expounds on her previous 12 months, with many an anecdote, a lot concerning her long suffering husband Stuart,  her friends, shopping in Morrisons, travelling, both for holidays and work, all give her scope to expound upon, each drawing peals of laughter from her loyal crowd, and numerous visitors from further afield.

Although at times Jo seems dissatisfied with a lot of things, friends , their new relationship, PDA’s on Facebook, husband getting by abroad using the ‘language of football’. Following a friends present to her she has started to note in a Gratitude diary things that make her happy and is amazed that there is more to write than she thought.

For an evening of entertainment with a highly polished performer who always delivers this could well be the show for you.
