Josh Glanc: Family Man 4.5**** - One4Review

Josh Glanc:Family Man has the joyous vibe of the long remembered Go Big Red Fire Engine by Adam Hills that won accolades galore. However, there is singing (such a brilliant voice), plus at no point is it conventional stand up comedy, so it is recommended that you see for yourself the glee that merits 4.5 stars.
For really good, early afternoon mirth this could be the show to rush to, before it is no more at this year‘s Fringe (ends on 10th) or ever maybe. It is clearly a most delightful way to start a Fringe day according to the instant enthusiasm that filled the room.
There is a cavalcade of endearingly tender yet silly songs on a family theme, with a few impressions that made us giggle or smirk. With song and music styles from many eras, at one point it seemed we might enter a quality musical cabaret show.
However that was an illusion, as these were interspersed with lightheartedly intelligent silliness which might involve audience members who had been weirdly asked if there were any silly billies or cheeky monkeys who would get involved, and undoubtedly everyone just loved it.
And then so soon and out of the blue an understated camera theme throughout the show makes for an unexpected enjoyable finale.
This show has won awards and epithets worldwide, and we cannot say it better than echo a Times review that Josh Glanc: Family Man is absolute nonsense and an absolute pleasure.
