Koalas & Kebas sees two of Australia’s rising new stars take to the stage and deliver an excellent, joke packed hour of stand-up.  Kurt Sterling and Kiyanosh Sahebi put on a 30 minute set each, in a kind of 2 for 1 Aussie comedy deal. 

Kurt brings the hilarity first and his sharp observational style is superb.  His material is very relatable, relationships, dating, and now living in Glasgow for a spell, captures the crowd’s attention.  No slide shows or presentations, just pure stand-up of the highest quality.  He has a lovely confidence on stage that’s developed incredibly since he started out only 3 ½ years ago.

Kiyanosh,s style is very different but equally as funny.  There’s a much edgier, political and religious slant, pushing boundaries, maybe sometimes too far with some of the audience. His interaction with us is outstanding, lots of back & forth, which adds to the overall fun of his set.

It’s a non-stop, roller coaster of a show, an absolute riot and both guys give a terrific, unfiltered performance, very funny and entertaining, pure Aussie magic. On leaving, I immediately went for a kebab, the perfect ending to a fair-dinkum show.
