There’s no doubt about it, juggler and funny-man, Mat Ricardo, is indeed an “Extraordinary Gentleman”.  For a full hour he keeps us on the edge of our seats with his effortless charm and wit and some outstanding acts of circus cabaret.

It’s a full blown gag and trick-fest, and he showcases some spectacular skills in this fast-paced one-man show.  There’s props-a-plenty on the stage and we are kept wondering what will he attempt next.  Machetes, cigar boxes and bowling balls all feature in his repertoire, each building up to the next level of impossibility.  He’s spent some time doing cabaret on cruise ships and this exposure has obviously helped to hone his talents.

It’s a very family friendly show, suitable for all ages, with just the right amount of adult humour to stop this becoming a kid’s show. Be prepared to be amazed by his trickery, but don’t try his tricks at home.  His version of the “tablecloth trick”, I’d never seen before.  Most impressive and a nice way to end the show.

Mat has also penned a book, that’s available to buy at the end of the show, hopefully to help inspire the next generation of cabaret variety artists.
