Clive Anderson's My Seven Wonders 4**** - One4Review

Clive Anderson’s My Seven Wonders 4****

| On 13, Aug 2023

Clive Anderson returns to The Fringe with a live version of his hit podcast with a different guest each night.

The premise of the show is for the guest to come up with their seven most favourite / most special things that mean something for which they hold dear. This can literally be anything at all and according to Clive this has actually been anything from a childhood memory, a movie scene to a piece of fruit. Indeed our guest this evening, American stand up and award winning writer for the likes of Seth Myers, Ellen and David Letterman; Matt Goldich chooses a piece of fruit. A nectarine, to be precise, as one of his seven wonders.

Matt Goldich is an interesting choice of guest. Perhaps not quite the household name that the packed audience were hoping for but a worthy guest nonetheless. Matt is making his Fringe debut with his show What If This Is the Best I Can Do? His choices this evening include; American Football, having just one drink and the entire Trip series starring Rob Brydon and Steve Coogan. The latter of which is chosen by Clive as the standout of Matt’s seven choices.

Clive is a genial professional host. A veteran of TV and radio broadcasting. This is a more mature audience for a Fringe show, reflecting Clive’s veteran status. A gentle hour of entertaining chat that really is a different show every evening and you take a chance on who the special guest might be.

Definitely worth a punt!
