At the Underbelly Buttercup, Joe McTernan entertained us to a jam-packed hour of great comedy material.

He’s a local lad, from Edinburgh, and went down a storm in a venue that felt like the oven on Christmas Day!

Joe’s show focuses on experiences from his own life, and a series of motivational mantras that we should all try to follow. He has great banter with the audience and it’s a fast-paced and full of great stories.

Are we all addicted to our phones? Well I hadn’t seen the gay TikTok cat before and you’re right McTernan, I can’t not watch him now! It’s hilarious!

Your story about your journey on a train to Aberdeen, I can feel your pain having had a very similar experience myself.

There’s a beautiful tribute to his grandparents which was very moving. They’ve done a great job Joe and they’d be proud you’re following your dream.

You may not be “beach ready” but you’re definitely “stage ready” as we all thoroughly enjoyed this very relatable show. Your life advice won’t change my life but your hour long show gave us all the opportunity to ponder for a while.
