5 Mistakes That Changed History 4**** - One4Review
one4review | On 12, Aug 2024
This charming show perfectly combines history, storytelling and comedy. Self-proclaimed nerd Paul Coulter takes us on an hour-long tour of some of the greatest mistakes in history. We covered 5 stories from various historical periods, each interspersed with jokes and visuals. Paul is a natural storyteller and he had the rather large audience in the palm of his hand although some stories were better than others.
I think the show leans more towards history rather than comedy but that is not a criticism. It is refreshing to have a few laughs and feel like you have truly learned something. I took along my 12-year-old daughter who is a history fan and she loved the show. If you are not a history fan then whilst you are sure to learn something, this may not be the one for you. This show is advertised as suitable for age 12+ but I think it would be suitable for kids as young as 8. It is good, clean family fun with no naughtiness or bad language. It is on at a family-suitable time of 16:40 and I think is perfect for history buffs looking for something a bit different this festival.
