Kai Humphries – Kaibosh 4**** - One4Review

The first time that Kai Humphries name came to my attention was way back in 2010 when I saw his first Edinburgh show and was more than a little impressed.
Since then Humphries has been a regular performer at the Fringe as well as touring the world making a favourable impression wherever he performs.
The latest offering Kaibosh is what we have come to expect. A full hour of comedy and laughs from a seemingly amiable Geordie lad, although now Glasgow based seemingly happily chatting to a bunch of mates.
He has recently had a hair transplant and has much self-deprecating material on this, returning often to the process, his style and personality sitting well with the busy show with the next laugh never far away.
He talks of growing up in Blyth, school days and bullying, he with some of his peers in the crowd, who like him thoroughly enjoyed the local references and characters he talked about, which added to the atmosphere generated throughout. Material on and demonstrations of AI, his wife and parents where all areas that enhanced his array of merriment.
Kai is a likeable, cheeky grinned performer. He is always good value, really funny and the hour spent in his company flies by all too quickly.
