Will Davies : Much Peril, Many Intrigue - 3*** - One4Review

Will Davies is one of the most downbeat comedians I have ever seen. In his show, “Much Peril, Many Intrigue” he manages to bring a dark rain cloud over proceedings with well timed self-deprecating humour. This Essex Boy breaks the mould, there’s no way he would ever make it on TOWIE, he’s too sad, too bad at first impressions, and as the man in the front row said, “too bland”. Ouch!
He’s bad at small talk and doesn’t make friends easily, and he gives off a nerd, IT geek vibe. He doesn’t enjoy birthdays, in fact he would struggle to enjoy any kind of celebration, but it all comes with a slice of dry wit on the side. He does enjoy poking fun at his mother however, one of his only vices, playing cruel tricks on her, purely for his own entertainment. He comes across as a very intelligent, well read man, but he debunks this myth very swiftly with dead-pan delivery all about where he went to University.
Davies is depressingly entertaining, if that makes any sense, his drollness is his strength, and you can see why he struggles to understand people and modern life.
