Ali Brice Presents Eric Meat Gets The Chop 3.5*** - One4Review

Ali Brice plays the role of Eric Meat, an office worker just getting back into the workplace after an enforced 3 month sabbatical. Theres an impending HR meeting hanging above his head as he takes us into the world of FMCG!
Lots and lots of comedy interaction with the audience, his work is random, off track and difficult to see where it’s going most of the time. It’s a mad-cap hour of quirks that silly non-sense that seems to work with the crowd. He has an awkward comedic style, which I’m sure is deliberate. There’s a fair bit of clowning around, but in the main he delivers a decent show and yes, we would all like to go to the local bar, Honkers and have a pint with him.
Dead-pan put downs feature heavily and he has nutty professor quality about him. He sees work as a distraction from death, and he has plenty other mantras to share along the way. At times it feels like he waffles on a bit, but it’s all part of the narrative and the character he’s playing, and it resonates with me that I have worked with many “Eric Meats” over the years.
