Steffan Alun: Stand Up 3.5*** - One4Review
one4review | On 08, Aug 2025
Debuting at the Fringe is Steffan Alun in his new aptly titled show, Stand Up. This is his first full hour comedy show and he has more than enough to say during this wonderfully entertaining Welsh joke-fest.
From early on he knew he was different and we are treated to what it was like for him growing up in Wales. Tackling topics head on like, ADHD, his own bi-sexuality, all other sexualities, pop groups and drugs, we are in for a sensory overload that’s both insightful and enlightening, and overall a very funny show.
Alun has a fantastic command of the stage and delivers a well written piece of work where all the dots join up. He’s incredibly upfront and honest, something that lands well with the packed room. His timing is on point and he’s incredibly engaging.
A keen fan of Dr Who and the pop group Steps, he manages to construct a clever narrative. His comedy is well observed and we get an insight into his character and what makes him tick.
All in all, a very entertaining and enjoyable hour of comedy from Steffan, so if you like stand up, go and see Stand Up!!
