Here’s a debut show you wanna see!! Gillian Gurganus in All that Jazz, has a 30 minute banger that’s a theatrical roller-coaster. This stunning Triple Threat Canadian/American, is keen to make it big, and I truly believe she will. She’s a high energy pocket-rocket destined for stardom in a show that’s both light hearted and ambitious.
Her conversational style of storytelling on point, the subject matter has a nice flow and tempo and we get an insight into how she’s come to this place in her life. Obviously with any new artist there’s highs and lows, and she’s had her fair share. Making her way to The Big Apple, she knows she’s “gonna make it” but ends up promoting other peoples shows, helping to make their dreams come true.
It’s a well scripted and piece and she has fabulous presence on stage. She reminded me very much of a young Brooke Shields, she’s sassy and witty and chasing the American Dream. She’s incredibly engaging and the audience loved her. Half an hour doesn’t do her justice, I feel she has plenty more to give. Take a chance and go and see this very talented scene-stealer.
