Patrick Monaghan: Hug me I feel good - One4Review
Genial Patrick Monaghan is definitely a Fringe favourite and with all the TV exposure he is getting on ITV’s ‘Show me the Funny’ is is not surprising that his show even on a wet Tuesday in Edinburghwas rocking.
Monaghan is a comic who is so personable, so friendly, so…. I hesitate to use the word nice but is also a very funny man. But do we get to see his actual set? Or, as described by a legendry comedic critic on the telly, is he always titting about?
To be honest I think we get a bit of both, but the audience doesn’t seem to care. They are out for a good time and that is assured with Monaghan.
The show is in essence about six good deeds that he has been involved in this past year and with audience participation at times, even a live conversation on iphone with a punters son, Patrick just does what he does best, entertains, makes people laugh and forget their troubles for an hour.
He is a bundle of energy, never still, always on the prowl but always well worth seeing. His name is high on the list of my must-sees every Fringe and I have never felt disappointed.
I’m sure the only way anyone would be is if and when his shows are sold out. Don’t let it be you who is disappointed.
