The Play About Charlotte - One4Review
***
3 stars
Cathy (Amy Marchant) is a prolific and award winning writer but recently her books have taken a complete change in direction. She seems to be drifting away from her partner Jamie (Pierre Thailleux) and more and more towards her muse Charlotte (Helen Kennedy) or is it towards her ex-lover, renowned therapist Michael (Edmund Digby-Jones) whom she has been seeing in a professional capacity.
The intricacies of each relationship are explored during the production, with both the audience and performers taken on a journey through many emotions. The four young actors stay in character throughout the hour, producing a moving piece of Fringe theatre.
Hannah C. Patterson both writes and directs this thought provoking piece, an insight into one woman’s tortured psyche.
