Rat Pack – Live - One4Review

Geoff and I love our music as much as we enjoy our comedy and since I have always loved Sammy Davis Junior I was looking forward to my second Hartshorn-Hook Production of this Fringe, having already seen Treasure Island their kids show. Last year I saw ‘The Blues Brothers in search for the cowbell’ and had an absolutely superb night.

This band was already on stage playing as we entered the venue, the quality  of sounds being produced bode well for what we were about to see. We were introduced to Frank Sinatra who started with ‘Fly Me to the Moon’.  His vocals were great.  After introducing us to his pianist Gavin and  singing more numbers he then went on to introduce Dean Martin who started with ‘Ain’t That A Kick in the Head. We were then introduced to the Burreli Sisters who perfromed ‘It Don’t Mean a Thing if you Ain’t got that Swing’. After a few more numbers we were introduced to Sammy Davis Jr who started with ‘One More for the Road’ then my favourite ‘Mr Bojangles’. Each performer did several numbers and there were a few together.

They were all really good and had there not been an announcement I would not have known we had understudies on. No matter your specific tastes if you enjoy good music this show is a must for you.
